Training Evaluation

This is part two of the Advanced Design for a Digital Age. It is another highly interactive virtual workshop for experienced Learning and development professionals. You will build on what you learned and applied in the Needs Assessment workshop to measure the impact of training. You will explore different types of evaluation, understand when each type is appropriate, and apply training evaluation approaches to a case study. The workshop provides you with practical opportunities to use feedback forms, measure learning objectives, and plan to assess return on investment (ROI). You will develop an action plan to implement what you have learned in their job.

Objectives

In this workshop, you will:

  • Identify three types of evaluation and determine which is most suitable for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of training courses.
  • Assess which type of evaluation is appropriate for specific courses.
  • Apply a process for evaluating training.
  • Apply an established evaluation framework to a case study.
  • Identify when to complete an evaluation to measure the ROI and considerations for how to do so effectively. 
  • Create an action plan for applying workshop concepts to your job.
