The Day 1 module sets the foundation for managing others by focusing on what helps employees grow. Participants begin with an interactive icebreaker using the instructor’s Lead, Learn, Grow conversation cards, sparking meaningful discussion on what leadership and learning look like in their teams. They are introduced to the Growth Equation, a practical framework created by the instructor to understand the conditions that support employee development and success.
Building on this foundation, the session explores how clear expectations and feedback shape performance. Participants apply Situational Leadership principles to assess employee readiness and adjust their management approach accordingly. The day concludes with a deep dive into delegation, using the Skill vs. Will Model to determine when to direct, support, coach, or step back, ensuring the right balance of challenge and support for each team member.
