The Day 1 module introduces participants to the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team© model by Patrick Lencioni as a framework for strengthening team performance and collaboration. Through discussion and personal reflection, participants explore how trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results influence team dynamics. Using their individual profile results, they begin to assess their tendencies and identify opportunities for growth.
The session focuses on the first two behaviours in the model, trust and conflict, as foundational elements of high-performing teams. Participants examine the role of vulnerability in building trust and identify habits that support psychological safety. They then explore how productive conflict, grounded in trust, leads to stronger collaboration and better decision-making. The day closes with activities to help participants apply these concepts to their teams and leadership style.
